Blessings in a Backpack provides food over the weekend to children that may not get enough to eat on the weekends. Students receive a backpack each Friday with easy to prepare meals and snacks. Students return the backpacks on Monday mornings nourished and ready to learn. Money raised in our community stays in our community.

At Children's we focus on child abuse and neglect prevention. We specialize in providing parent education in an array of different formats, as well as play groups and other events that can bring families together. Our Marathon County Family Resource Center is a place for parents to learn to be the best possible parents they can be. Our office location provides programming throughout Marathon County and provides a nurturing environment in which parents can connect with resources, access programs and enjoy family activities with their children at no cost.

Wausau Pro Musica

Wausau Pro Musica has been providing choral music experiences for Wausau and the surrounding area since 1961, celebrating 65 years this Spring. It is an auditioned choir of women ages 16 and up, providing concerts free of charge in the area twice per year, as well as sing-outs for various facilities and organizations in the area and beyond. In addition, we sponsor up to four high school/college scholarships and choir membership to young women who wish to pursue music careers.
