Hello Champions!

We have exciting news to share. Our Olson Cares vision has truly been a rewarding experience for us. We've gotten to know some great charities, fabulous people, and engaging programs. And honestly - we have LOVED every minute of it.

So - as some of you may have heard, we thought we'd "spice" it up a bit.

Welcome to the opportunity to participate in 2026 in something we'd like to call March Kindness! What is that you ask? A way for us to have even MORE fun and incentivize some extra participation!

February 19th - March 11th will be the 'First Round' of our contest. Previous winners of Olson Cares will be selected at random and divided into four 'Divisions', the best way we could think of to keep things fair.

  • Voting will be on our website just as the monthly contests were except you select a winner in EACH division, Upon voting each person will be able to see the vote tallies. We are asking for an email address and a simple "Math Captcha" to prevent botting ( which did occur once in our 24 month history.) You will NEVER be solicited from Olson Tire & Auto Service or Olson Auto Body and Paint from those email submissions. We may send you Olson Cares updates, but you are able to opt out easily from those if you choose. There can only be ONE vote per email address in each round of the contest.

  • The four winners from each ‘Division' will go on to the Semifinals and all Semi-finalists will be guaranteed to win at least $1,000.00.

  • March 12th until April 1st will be the Semifinal Round! The four winners of the First Round will go head to head in the semi-finals for a chance to compete for the grand prize. Same conditions will apply for the semi-final round of voting.

  • April 2nd until April 15th will be the Finals! The Finalists will battle it out for the $5,000.00 Grand Prize, to be awarded at the Wausau Chamber Business Expo on April 16th @ 4:00 P.M.! The only change in the final round is that the vote totals will remain hidden - so every vote counts - get your teams racing!!

It's as simple as getting the word out and getting folks to vote for you. Or vote for your favorite other organization as the competition progresses!

Again - The Grand Prize Winner will get a $5,000 donation from Olson Cares. And the other three semi-finalists will all receive a $1,000.00 donation.

As a final note we would ask folks that if you do make it to the 'Final Four', if at all possible we'd like to have a representative join us at our booth at the Business Expo for the award ceremony @ 4:00pm on April 16th. We've made something of a habit of taking a picture with every winner and preserving it on our website and sharing that in social media to help promote both the organizations. Yours and ours.

It's not all about winning, it's about helping the organizations that help our community!And thanking them all for everything that they do. We are so proud, not only of who we are, and what we represent, but we are blessed by your wonderful organizations and the people behind and beside them. After all - WE ARE LOCAL and darn proud of it. 100% of monies spent in our local businesses stay in this community.
